You have a healthy relationship with your body!
Congratulations! You, my friend, have a healthy relationship with your body!
I define this relationship as one built on self-compassion, flexibility, resilience, rest, nourishment, and love.
It's likely you don't weigh yourself and you accept your body at any size. You enjoy movement and eat in a way that supports your mental & physical health--without restricting! You have good body image and healthy self-talk. Way to go, rockstar!
Three tips to help you take your relationship with your body even further!
1) Tune up that intuition!
It sounds like you're already an intuitive eater--congrats! Lean into this and practice flexing your intuition in other areas. Intuitive movement and intuitive rest are two more pieces of the puzzle, and they'll help facilitate a stronger mind-body connection, which is proven to yield better long-term health!
2) Experiment and play with new forms of movement!
If you already love to move and have a consistent (yet flexible) movement routine, the next step is to find out which forms of movement you really LOVE. Try something out-of-the box like pole dancing, trapeze, or tai chi!
Another way to approach this is to try the OPPOSITE of what you normally gravitate towards. Do you usually run? Try a slow yoga flow! Do you prefer to swim? Maybe try some rock climbing!
3) Get hot in the kitchen!
Your relationship with food is already healthy, but what about your relationship with cooking? Cooking should be playful and fun. Don't be afraid to mess up! Learning to cook tasty food for yourself reifies the already-healthy relationship you've got going. Try something new and see how it turns out!
